O. GUTHRIE JEFFCOAT, JR.

Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyor, Managing Member


 

Mr. Jeffcoat was born and raised on a small farm in Crenshaw County, Alabama.  He graduated from Luverne High School. Mr. Jeffcoat attended Troy State University, then transferred to Auburn University where he earned his Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree.  He also had one year of graduate studies and was a survey lab instructor and a member of the Chi Epsilon Honorary Engineering Fraternity.  Mr. Jeffcoat spent nine years both part and full time with the Alabama Highway Department. Five years were spent with the Urban Redevelopment Agency of the City of Montgomery as staff engineer, and three years as assistant city engineer.  In 1976 Mr. Jeffcoat formed his consulting firm Jeffcoat Engineers & Surveyors.   Mr. Jeffcoat has served two years as consulting county engineer for Bullock County.  He has been the continuing education drafting instructor for Auburn University at Montgomery and Massey Draughn College. He is a licensed home builder.  His total work experience is over thirty-eight years.  Mr. Jeffcoat resides in Montgomery, Alabama.

 


KYLE TIGNOR

Professional Engineering, Chief Design Engineer


 

Mr. Tignor is an engineering graduate from Auburn University and a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama.  He provides expertise to the firm in the areas of residential and commercial development design and planning. He has experience working with municipalities and government agencies such as the Alabama Department of Transportation, Alabama Department of Environmental Management, county commissions, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the U.S. Corp of Engineers.  Mr. Tignor is the chief design engineer and carries the primary responsibility of design on every project of the firm including design calculations and hydraulics on subdivision designs, county road projects and commercial designs and other land development projects.  Mr. Tignor is a lifelong resident of Clanton, Alabama.

 


 

STEVE HUGHES

Professional Land Surveyor


 

Mr. Hughes attended Boston University.  He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor with 30 years of experience in the civil construction, engineering design and surveying fields.  Mr. Hughes assists primarily with boundary surveys, conceptualization of subdivision layouts and subdivision design, onsite sewage disposal system design and flood studies.  He also assists with computer and Autocad operations. Mr. Hughes resides in Montgomery, Alabama.

 


WAYNE PORTERFIELD

Survey Chief

 

Mr. Porterfield acts as chief of surveying crews. He has thirty-four years experience in construction surveying and land surveying; his duties have ranged from rodman to party chief.  His most notable work was the precise surveying and optical alignment and layout of production at the Hyundai Plant in Montgomery.  Mr. Porterfield resides in Montgomery, Alabama.
